What beer are you drinking now? #4855

I always go with Jack's pizzas on the grill but I might have to try one from Aldi's based on your posts.

 

2022 bottle, more info in the cellar drain thread. In short a very good beer I think could be better than when fresh.

Sitting with the old man. He is around 15-16. We have a vet apt tomorrow night, he has been quite off the last week. Lost a lot of weight. I’m not happy.

Ian, have you seen the movie Pumping Iron with Arnold? It's from 1975 and is a fun movie to see, a lot of the bodybuilding folks from the mid 70's. I got to spend some time with Lou Ferrigno at the Superstars competition at Rotunda FL in the late 70's, he was with his dad and great to talk to, check it out. Pumping Iron is a 1977 American docudrama about the world of professional bodybuilding, with a focus on the 1975 IFBB Mr. Universe and 1975 Mr. Olympia competitions.

 

Interesting movie, not seen it in a long time. Those guys put in work and are ripped. I recommend watching it.

Agree, as a 140 lb 16 yr old I was so envious of the whole Venice/muscle Beach scene. This mag was from the early 90's.

 

Sounds amazing. Added to my lengthy list of "to-watch" on IMDB. I used to be super into fitness, but I still understand all the nutrition and science aspects of bodybuilding from that period. I will have to find more biographies of bodybuilders too. Lou Ferrigno was at the GSO Comicon last year, but me and Julia missed it. Will have to try and find other cool related events. It takes a lot of dedication and diet strictness I'd rather not go back to lol. At least planning to get back into mountain biking again this year. Thanks!

Aromas of big apricot, peach, red grapefruit, orange, pineapple, pear, red apple, mango, honeydew melon, papaya, berries, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Taste follows with big apricot, peach, red grapefruit, orange, pineapple, pear, red apple, mango, honeydew melon, papaya, berries, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced creamy/grainy wheat and sticky hop mouthfeel. Light lingering resins and increasing hop oil dryness with no astringency. Nice soft feel for the style. Very juicy and lightly dank hops of Idaho 7 and Mosaic. A lot of stone fruit notes from yeast. I am getting light hop oxidation edges from it sitting in my cellar for a bit, but I can't knock it for much else. Has the London III yeast and everything so they did a great job on the hazy style. 4/5

I was an avid weightlifter. I still have some old weight training mags from that era. Sent a bunch of them to fellow BAs interested. I hope they didn’t throw them away.
