What beer are you drinking now? #4855

Ever go to the Arnie show? A multi day event in Columbus. I went once to support a friend who was competing in a strongman competition (he had fun but did not win). It’s quite a spectacle and plenty of good breweries in the area. In early March.

 

I hope not Mike. Just like the car magazines I used to buy, none of them are printed any more, sad. I did see a new Car and Driver mag today, it was $15.99....fuck that!

 

I did not throw them away!

 

I purchase this 4 pack at Walmart. I feel very confident the $6.99 they are charging is a mistake? Canned 1/6/26. A steal sleep well all.

 

I got a whole box of weights mags 1968 through 1985. Never checked the value. Gave over a dozen to BAs. I have to say weight training saved my ass. Too much dope. Too much booze. But always knew when it was too much. I actually did well with power lifting. A long time ago my friend.

 

No Dave not yet, i wish! This March I go to gatornationals 3/6 and the wife goes wedding dress shopping with our daughter 3/7 and we fly to St. Thomas 3/10. We'll definitely hit it and a bunch of breweries up your way and the Arnold classic one of these years (while he's here).....cheers!!

 

How are you doing my friend? I I forgot how many babies you had. They can occupy your time. Preaching to the choir. If I remember (remembering is not my strong point) your wife was a really good lifter.

Mike, I hang quite often with Dave @DoctorZombies and y'all have met. He's told me that you're a man with a weightlifters build, a huge props to your past training. After 15 years of riding bikes 3,000-4,500 miles a year to compete in 100 -150 mile rides/races I've dropped to 50 miles a week with 4-5 dumbbell sessions, 20 - 35 pounds for 5-6 exercises. I'm 67, you have a lot more great years left in you, start off slow and taper off......cheers my friend!!

Thanks to hear the words of encouragement. Just turned 74. Starting to feel old. I cannot lift like I use to but pretty much can drink like always. Always willing to take on a beer challenge.

 

Last of tonight. A top tier beer at an even better price of $13 a six. This is a full case purchase each year as is Bigfoot but so far he is not been sighted.

Another one I just learned about. Great stuff. He is supposed to be amazing live.

She's back- Just as I was trying to restock one of my fave winter beers Hibernation by Great Divide, it was out of stock.

But instead it is Orabelle - Great Divide. Was waiting for many months fo rthis seasonal brew. Quite different from my normal Golden Monkey yet still quite tasty.

 

Glad to hear from you my friend. Sobriety is a good thing. I wish my side of the family did it.
