Bellwoods Pig West Coast-Style IPA

Bellwoods' take on Russian River Blind Pig IPA. A pretty good stab at this legendary beer, with loads of pine needle, clementine, woody hop and pineapple coming through, and a decent amount of bitterness on the back end. Happy Thursday, BAs!

Some nice and fresh Little Willow Rock Hound DDH DIPA - canned 2/25/26



Raining and supposed to get freezing rain overnight, hopefully more north and west of me. Don't need any ice around here.

 

Brewed in Lithuania.

 

Nice looking cut of meat Bob - I'm gonna go with a porterhouse on that one.

A porterhouse has a larger tenderloin—at least 1.25 inches across at its widest point.

A T‑bone has a smaller tenderloin, between 0.51 and 1.24 inches.

Glad you scored some fresh Little Willow Larry. Seems the smaller breweries brews break down quicker IMHO.
Had a nice morning at Trinidad State Beach and Sue-meg State Park followed up my lunch and a pint at the Redwood Curtain Brewing Company in Arcata. Many thanks for the local pro tips from @unlikelyspiderperson - great recommendations S.! I enjoyed the Bulgogi Bowl and the Belgian Pale Ale while my wife had the Rice Lager and Fish Tacos. Good stuff all the way around!

Yes i would too Larry . It’s marked T- bone on the store sticker . I agree with the tenderloin piece as a marker for porterhouse . When i buy them on sale ($7.99/lb.) they usually have about 25 in the side cooler .most have the tenderloin cut out ,but I always manage to fish out a couple where the butcher missed the cut.

 

It’s always nice when one of my local beer stores gets a shipment of Heady Topper. Cheers and happy Thursday.
