My Fighting Illini are playing Houston tonight...not till 9pm though. That means its going to be more like a 9:30 start ugh. I actually broke down and got a free 3 day trial for Hulu just so I could watch this...god I hate modern "streaming" but I have to play the game I guess...ugh.

 

World Cup playoff qualifiers: Ireland vs Czechia. The beer makes it obvious who I’m rooting for!

 

I can't really say that I'm a big fan of this beer. It's a well made beer, but just not my cup of tea.

We FINALLY got this in work today. We got our allocated 2 cases, and I pulled a 6 pack out right away for myself. So happy it's finally in the area. I think it is as good as always, maybe slightly less hoppy than last year.

 

Right along here ba. Lager, Lawsons. It’s fine- nothing bad but nothing all that great either,

 

I really enjoy that one, it's a nice change up from the usual IPA's I drink. I'll probably have one later this evening - cheers!!!

 

I remember the Catch-22 and Something Happened books on my parents bookshelves while growing up. Since i've never read any Heller books, i'll see if i can obtain the two books in the near future.
Good luck to the Illini, UH playing in their home city looks like a tough task!

Catch-22 is one of my all time favorites. Good As Gold is another one that is just as good...so far I'm enjoying Something Happened but its a bit more clunky in the story telling and sentence structure. I'm still enjoying it, but so far seems a bit of a sophomore slump, but will see...

Tomorrow, I'm seeing The Wood Brothers at The Heights Theater (just a couple blocks walk away from my condo ha). Its become an almost annual event there, and I love them...so here is some Wood Brothers spinning.
