The Mrs. & I went out to a relatively new place here 1834 Tavern Lafayette, a Belgian Style Bistro. The food was good, we had Mussels & Frites. Their beer selection was wanting, way overpriced bottles of easy to find Belgian Beers, I settled a more reasonably Wit from Bath House Brewing in Hot Springs.

    Tickers gonna tick

My last of these. Hardywood Peppermint Bark Stout. They still had more last time I was at Trader Joe’s. This is still decadent.

5 Stones Toby G's brown ale from @Ozzylizard in a BIF. Outstanding head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Great clarity. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, honey, pecan nuttiness; light vanilla, chocolate, coffee, wood, pepper, pine. A bit muted aromas. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread/crust, toasted biscuit, honey, pecan nuttiness; light vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, wood, peppercorn, pine, herbal, grass. Touch of yeast, smoke, and dark fruit. Light-medium pine, herbal, woody, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced creamy/bready malt and sticky hop mouthfeel. Slight resins and increasing bitter dryness with no cloying/hop astringency. Mild increasing warmth of 7.2% after the finish. Drinks more like a 5.5% brown on body, malt complexity is good but not great. Solid flavoring presence, well balanced. Well made for the American style. 3.88/5

    Oh hell.
    Why not?
If @GreenBayBA can eat a dozen eggs a day I can have consistent 4 beer days, right? RIGHT?

    Another Cumbre Elevated IPA.
Excellence happens a pint at a time.

    Cheers...

Maibock time is coming. Here's one from Roaring Table Brewing Brewing Co. Have really enjoyed this one in the past and this iteration keeps it going. Good stuff. Cheers all.

That is rough. The joys of home ownership. Our main drain backed up a couple Sundays ago, the day you got two feet of snow in GB. Had the super crabby septic guys pumping the tank at 7am Monday morning in the middle of a blizzard. They did not get the job done. The plumber that came over next was not crabby, because he knew he was going to make a lot of money. He did get the job done—and made a lot of money. He also showed me on the handy dandy sewer camera that the pipe from my house to tank is broken in multiple places. Before summer I will need to take down my beloved deck, dig a large hole, and pay the plumber more money. Just everyday challenges that come into perspective at the virtual bar. Life is good, so is bleach… cheers, Micah! :beers:
