No photos but Hill Farmstead is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous part of rural Vermont. Even the ride there is wonderful. Beautiful scenery with fantastic beer to be had once you arrive. I have only been there 3 times but it never dissapoints. And for a bonus I pass The Alchemist and Fiddlehead on my way home.
Somewhere I have some photos I took while visiting Bear Chase Brewing in Bluemont Virginia. I grabbed these off of Google just to see here. It’s a beautiful view looking down in the valley below from the back deck, or the hillside seating. On a nice day, when there’s live music playing and cold beer in hand, it’s really something special. It’s hard to capture everything in a picture though.
I’ve never been to ‘Common Ground’, I’ll have to look for it. There is another place just down the hill a little from Bear Chase called ‘Dirt Farm Brewing’. Well worth a stop if you’re in the area again. Here again, views like this can’t really be captured in a couple of photos.
That's the view! I don't know why I came up with Common Ground, although 'dirt' and 'ground' have something in common. But that view and the pic of the taphouse verify that's the place I was trying to remember. Thanks for the update.
Pelican is the one. I'm sure I have a pic in my archives somewhere, but yeah, that's exactly what you get.
Give me great beer above anything else. That will never change. That said, as I commented in the thread, Pelican is must-visit for those that are into scenery/vibe. Cheers.
Ha I almost mentioned that. It's not the best view on this thread, but it's a nice view nonetheless (you can get this view from the tap room too). The tap room itself is really nice, and the pretzels are great. Pairs well with a fresh Harpoon IPA.
I went to one right on the coast in Maui (I forget the name) but sitting in their restaurant overlooking the beach and Pacific ocean didn't suck.
Yea, I remember stopping there as well, spectacular view, I think we only had one beer though. As I recall the main reason we stopped was my wife had to use the restroom after we had lunch at the Screw and Brew up in Cannon Beach, lol.
I don't have pictures but when we were at Maui Brewing one February you could see whales breaching out in the ocean from the deck.
