picked up 3 bottles of bolt cutter in my fav liquor store in chicago last night. they were just sitting on the shelf

 

I'm drinking a Bolt Cutter now, and really enjoying it. There is some faded hop funkiness, but I'm loving the maple up front, and it's not boozy and overly sweet, as I've heard. Not a perfect beer, but I'm thinking a little cellar time will be kind.

 

I hope it is Black Biscuit and I hope I can actually get some.

 

I kind of agree with this. While distribution of Founders stuff is pretty good in the Philly area, constantly checking with distros, bottle shops, friends, etc is a royal pain in the ass, and it's all usually gone the first day it arrives. I did see Bolt Cutter at a bottle shop in south Philly, but I wasn't about to pay 30-some bucks (I think it was around $34?) for a beer so many on these threads said was not that good. I would, however, definitely buy some CBS if I happened upon some.

 

These markups are crazy...Bolt Cutter is $19.99 here...which seems reasonable to me...but $34? I don't know how these retailers sleep at night.

 

i love you man but this is one of the craziest things ive ever seen here..hopefully it is so you can give it another go and fall in love.

as for bolt cutter.. if you can get it cheap then buy it up.. in a FEW years that beer is going to be amazing. it needs yearS.

 

I hope it's Barrel-Aged Sumatran Mountain Brown... and i hope all these people bitching about FMB will whine and avoid it, leaving more for me.

Backwoods is BA Dirty Bastard. I'm not sure what "Backwoods Dirty Bastard" is supposed to be, other than what it already is.
