Good afternoon BAdvocates. Cool and rainy here at the moment. I’m drinking a Corona Sunbrew so perhaps that’ll scare the clouds off in time for me to play golf? This brew is tasting a bit too sweet for me, may have to lower my rating.

Getting into an 1840 Traditional Russian Imperial Stout from Zebulon; 100 IBU's with heavily roasted malts this is not for the faint of palate. Another great historical brew from Mike Karnowski - this was dedicated to Ozzy.

Into it w/ TDH broccoli, tdh iipa (mosaic/simcoe +cryo of both, nelson, strata), other half. Hop forward, good citrus fruit notes and decent dank notes. Nice hop juice,

I’ve always like Lagunitas beers and I’ve missed this one.
I’m going go and try to track this one down.

 

Mrs. CC and i had a nice hike earlier along the Blue Ridge Parkway with an overview of Haw Valley in East Asheville. Amazing how fast the forest greens up over a month. Wildflowers out, trees blooming, no bear sightings - it was a lovely morning!
Getting into Burial's Griddle Espresso Stout, one of their two seasonal stouts that are a must grab each fall/winter.
