Your Ideal Beer Menu

    1) German/Czech Pils
    2) Helles/Blonde Ale or other gateway beer for Coors Light drinkers
    3) Saison/non-fruited sour/Witbier/Hefeweizen
    4) Strong Belgian Ale
    5-7) IPAs - ideally one each of bitter/dank, hazy, imperial
    8) a "light dark" beer - dopplebock, english bitter, dunkel, amber, etc.
    9) a "dark dark" beer - stout, imperial stout, porter, schwarzbier* etc.
    10) Dealer's choice - let the brewer have some fun, try some new things, see what the crowd likes

    *schwarzbier can go into the "light dark" category if you're not classifying by color

    6. Saison (yeah, I'd put a Saison on tap)

    9. Porter/Stout (rotating)
    10. Seasonal (Oktoberfest/Winter Warmer/Maibock/Radler)

    Yeah, I left out IPA. Not because I don't like them, but the crowd that likes my 10 taps would be more likely not to miss having an IPA choice.

    Not that the rest of your list isn't amazing, but I often forget how ridiculous Mirror Pond is. Thanks for the reminder. I'm looking forward to drinking it at the source next month.

    8. "Italian" pils
    9. Rotating session cask (mild, bitter)
    10. Rotating easy drinker (Helles, Kolsch, American blond, American wheat)
    Not that different than my list from when I thought this was about running a business. I'm either a good host or a shitty barman.
