Although Everybody’s is quite well known to me, I'd never heard of this one.

The tv tower in the background made me momentarily think this was Berlin.

I was planning on stopping there Memorial Weekend but my trip is probably not happening due to what sounds like an impending death in my family.

I stopped there with family about an hour after the big eclipse around 8-9(?) years ago. Unfortunately, hundreds of other folks had the same idea and got their first, so not even one beer was had!

It's a pretty epic view over the bay to the city. Those pics didn't capture it that well

We were looking at a house to purchase last year in the volcanic region of France and stayed in the village of Murat-le-Quaire, in a very nice bed and breakfast. The owners of the B & B took us to this brewery, about 100 yards away, to listen to an excellent blues rock band. We sat at table with several of their friends, and everyone took turns ordering beers and charcuterie plates. The beer was phenomenal, the band was excellent, and the view of the volcanoes surrounding the village was magnificent. When the singer found out there was an American in the "crowd", they played several really nice blues tunes for us.
They have a sour rhubarb beer that I really loved, I still have a couple of bottles.

Wheat Head Brewing, nestled in the Horse Heaven Hills south of Kennewick, WA, serves meh beers ( at least when I was there), but has a great view of the lower Columbia Basin.

IIRC, the old aircraft carrier and now museum ship Hornet is moored nearby. I'd definitely like to check her out at some point. I can remember seeing her in Bremerton when she'd just been sold for scrap (her purchaser subsequently defaulted, which was how she was saved).

Yeah it's a cool spot overall. There's also Almanac brewing as well as Admiral Malting (which has a tap room featuring beers that use their malts that I've heard is pretty cool) and there was a distillery there as well.

So, definitely worth checking out for a beer or naval history nerd!

I'll be passing through there tomorrow, delaying my trip to visit. The view looks great and a recent GABF gold with all lagers on tap? Sign me up.

I forgot to add in my post above, Caldera Brewing in Ashland, OR. I was there a few weeks ago and forgot to take a pic as I was leaving.

I ended up delaying my drive to Cincinatti solely to go to Edison, and added a stop at Hoof Hearted to make sure I got there after they opened. Great views here, great German beers (no IPAs!) And great atmosphere.

Side note, Hoof Hearted is in the middle of nowhere between a bunch of scenic farms. Their hike took me through 3 fields full of wildflowers and I saw a full herd of deer, so even though it's not a total lookout, I think it deserves an addition.

I'm going to visit Edison in a few weeks. Hopefully it will be great weather to sit outside and enjoy the view with the beer.

The view is a little obstructed by a golf course and it's a little hot outside in the open air, but it's still pretty cool. The beers are excellent, if not a little expensive, but I'd advise on eating before you go. Their beers are deserving of all the awards, the food is mediocre.

Very much worth a stop and the view is impressive, just much better places to eat in my opinion.

Love the view from the Asahi Sky Bar! Can't beat a beautiful view of Tokyo with a Super Dry.

Another favorite of mine... A nice Lowenbrau Helles at the top of the Alps at Garmisch Partenkirchen south of Munich.

(Not sure why, but the beer picture is not working properly and I keep re-uploading and no luck... So here is a link for the beer shot: https://i.postimg.cc/Kzh4h5Fp/20250516-115017.jpg )
