Decent winter warmer. Smells pretty good, tastes pretty bland; but is not cloyingly sweet.

Seeing as yesterday was Blue Sunday(according to NHBC FB), I broke out the 2012 bottle. Good sour! Very oaky with nice tart fruit notes, leather, grass, hay, pepper, clove, funk etc. Typical stuff that is tasty.

    probably a fresh Hopslam next

    Cheers

Now that's a creative way to get rid of some of the older stuff in the fridge and make them more interesting, never thought about doing that before.

Oak aged Yeti. Quality. You would be hard pressed to find a more satisfying stout in my neck of the woods.

    LOL ...

Unequal parts due to consumption. An American Black Ale, Coffee Stout, winter seasonal IPA, last bottle of Boston Lager, rye IPA, balanced DIPA ... one or two more to make their way. That is all I am giving up.

Works great for hoppy beers ... the few that you may have that lost their edge but mixed with something else it is greatness. I love hoppy dark beers as well so it is all good there.

Love to mix sour / wild beers with more traditional Triples and Dubbels ... balance a drinkability can be insane.

I'm going to try that because I have some old stuff that needs to be cleared out of the fridge and right now they're equivalent to drain pours (I've been too lazy to dump 'em).

Yamar, on the surface, his mix sounds kinda horrific. But upon further review and contemplation, it sounds kinda good.
