sadly, as jesskidden's investigation shows, it's likely still not determined yet who will be brewing it from now on. 2013 at the earliest.

Yep, I posted a new thread in the UK forum to see who they thought would best do the deed.

Well I guess I have to go with a couple option in my head. Same as what I have for my daughter.

    1. Bigfoot
    2. Anchor our special ale
    3. JW Lees
    4. Fullers Vintage
    5. Some sort of Cantillon.

I think 5 beers for them on their 21st can work?

    Cheers!

    Good news.
I had an ''03 a number of years ago and it was delicious! I've another '03 that I've been cellaring for quite some time, and came across some '07s the other day. Hopefully, the right brewer will be found to put this classic back into production.

You can still find bottles around from time to time. I got a 2005 bottle a while back.

bump - is this a bump too far? two years. Still, it is pertinent as the "preview" bottles have now been shipped to journalists and bloggers etc, so I wonder how good it will be.

Shame no one took it on in the UK.

Well, there was a more recent thread last year that turned into a "revived" Thomas Hardy's thread...in which Ron 'patto1ro' Pattinson mentioned (post #100) the new test batches, but he could not say who was brewing it for the new owners (post #89).

    So which brewery did?

Yeah exactly, good luck finding out where they brew :grimacing:

    "
Interbrau is an Italian company and a leader in the craft beer market.

It was founded in the early ’80s by Sandro and Michele Vecchiato, who built on the work of their father, Luigi, since the postwar period, using his experience to their advantage. In the beginning, Interbrau focused on local distribution, but it slowly expanded its supply and its range of products, increasingly penetrating the market as a result.

These days, Interbrau distributes nationwide, through a distribution network both for the on-trade and the off-trade market.

Ug. All the Italian craft beers I see sitting on the shelf in stores are crazy expensive.

Yeah and I've just seen it's been brewed in the UK for the Italian distributers.

"Now an unnamed British brewery has been commissioned by Interbrau to recreate the beer, which is famously bottle conditioned and vintage dated."

I'm doing this same concept for all 2 (soon to be 3) of my kids. I wanted to do a "4 pack" with 4 different age-able styles, a barleywine, a stout, a gueuze, and a Belgian quad.

I'm collecting a Bigfoot, a BCBS, a Westvleteren XII, and a Cantillon Classic Gueuze for each of them, 2011, 2013, and 2015. Still need the Cantillon and BCBS from 2011, and so far only have the Bigfoot from 2015.
