How do the Texas BA's store their beer? I'm in Houston and keep it in my beer fridge around 55. What say you?

Some out in the open on shelving (70F), some in a beer fridge (55F), some in my food fridge (40F)

I need a bigger beer fridge though. A lot of my stuff isn't refridgerated. Currently only beers >$15 or if the style demands it (IPAs, low ABV beer) are allowed in. Apartment living doesn't allow it right now though.

Better start drinking, at that rate you might have more beer than you can drink lol

I have 3 fridges with temp controllers. A mini fridge, regular size fridge and an ice chest (for my homebrew in kegs)

I don't really have much room, so I keep them in my closet in a box. It's not ideal, but it will do for now. It's usually at 65-70F.

Huge box in the darkest part of the house. Moving to a house now so this will become so much easier! My IPA's are cold though

I use a drink cooler. Only problem is it stays at like 45°, and I don't just put beer in it so I don't want to buy a thermostat.

bottom of my closet under my hung up shirts.... it's very dark in there.... I have a few I keep in the fridge... whatever I plan on drinking next.

I'd like to put an old small fridge out in the garage.. but I'm worried with how hot it is here during the summer... how much would that add to an electric bill a month...

21 cubic foot garage fridge set on the lowest setting carries about 150 bottles right now. I've had it a year, and havent found it to make any significant impact on the electric bill, despite the garage getting pretty warm in the summer. Another 40-50 bottles of stuff that doesnt need to be in there (barleywines, old ales, big RIS, etc.) was just waxed and is tucked away in a dark place in the house.

Not ideal, but it works when you can't actually have a "cellar". I used to live in Maine a while back, and had a cellar that was dirt floors and stone walls - ah, to dream.

After seeing some of the stashes folks have on BA... 200 is small.

I probably have 50 large formats right now. Need to drink more, lol.

Ditto, plus shelves in a closet. I'm really trying to "drink it down" somewhat though. Like alot of people, it almost became more of a trophy collection (pretty much for myself to look it) than practical. I would ideally like to keep it down to just the dedicated beer fridge, wine cooler and a box or two.
