I'm thinking about getting some cans, but the only beer that I know is around me (Southeast Michigan) in cans is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Torpedo. Both great beers, but are there any other alternatives? I expect a lot of people to say Dale's Pale Ale.

Basically this is two threads in one:
What is the best canned beer you've had?
Are there many craft cans in Michigan?

As to cans where you are. Seekabrew says you get 21st Amendment, they have solid stuff.

Since I haven't had a lot of the more "notable" canned goodies, I am going to say Halcyon Wheat or Buffalo Sweat, by Tallgrass. Both incredibly tasty.

I live in Wisconsin, so I am unsure of distribution in Michigan, but Oskar Blues is a sure bet. I do prefer SNPA to Dale's, but Ten Fidy is a masterpiece and just slightly edges its Sierra Nevada counterpart, Narwhal (which is, of course, not canned). Value-wise, SNPA is also the way to go, as OB's stuff is quite highly priced.

Well, Dale's Pale is veery good but seek-a-brew does not show a Mich. distribution. But, they do show 21st Amendment and they have a wide variety of canned offerings.

If you get 21st Amendment (as per Hanzo), you should definitely seek out their beers, they're a great brewery. My favorites (from 21stA) are Back in Black (a great black IPA), Monks Blood (BSDA), and Hop Crisis (oak-aged DIPA).

Favorite canned beer period? Well, having never been lucky enough to try Heady (although I have my first trade in the works to get some, very stoked!), I'm gonna have to go with OB Gubna DIPA. That stuff is sooo delicious fresh. Bengali Tiger from Sixpoint, Ten Fidy, and Hop Crisis are all terrific as well.

Funny how you don't need the word canned in that question.

    Heady Topper is #1, obviously.

You won't find it Michigan, but New England Brewing Co puts some amazing stuff in cans, most notably Gandhi-Bot DIPA.

I also can't believe nobody has said Surly yet.

Apparently 21st Amendment is 75 miles away from me in Toledo. Dag.

Get some Brewery Vivant stuff. Atwater also cans some stuff, but I wouldn't say any of it is that amazing.

I'll go with a dark horse: Pako's IPA from Snake River. Waaaaay underrated.
