Just got back from a Royal Caribbean cruise. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was the only craft beer they had. ......and that is what I drank!

Disney Cruise will let you bring your own.
    Sooo...
Pack your clothing in small suitcase. Pack that small suitcase in larger suitcase. Fly to destination. Unpack small suitcase. Fill large suitcase with Jai Alai cans and/or local goodies. Win.

You didn't drink any wine? I've done Holland America cruises, and I believe most cruises curate some very good wines. I just bury my head in the wine list for the trip, and take notes on what to hunt down when I get home.

Though I wish I had to time to walk here when I was on Sitka: http://baranofislandbrewing.com

    This!

I semi-recently went on a cruise that was liquor included, and it was a welcome departure from beer. ZThere were different wine blends and single varietals every night, and many different vineyards across the globe were showcased: it was truly an awesome experience for the wine neophyte and the oenophile alike. Personally for the OP, it sounds like a missed opportunity to enjoy another alcoholic beverage crafted with equal if not more passion than beer...

Actually, I did drink some wine with dinner. However, at the pool deck in 88 degrees I like a beer. Just my preference. Royal Caribbean is a stickler about not being able to bring your own beer on board. Plus one vice at a time. Empty "Made in Dominican Republic" cigar boxes to be filled with the cigars from the "forbidden land" on excursion. One rule break at a time

Most cruises allow you to bring on a couple cases of water. Slip a few bottles out, fill with clear alcohol like rum, vodka, and moonshine, then replace in th case. Easy mixed drinks all cruise.

Wow, I did not know that. I assume they don't sell alcohol on board so that's why they let you bring your own?

I am taking a two day cruise to nowhere on Carnival Glory in a few months and the beer list is all BMC from what I see, so I'd gladly take Sierra Nevada anything.

I don't mind drinking BMC stuff honestly I just don't want to pay crazy prices for it.

Last carnival cruise I was on a bucket of 6 miller lights was like 30 bucks! It's all about sneaking spirits on and making drinks. Save yourself hundreds of dollars.

I was told you can bring a twelve pack of soda per person on the ship, so I was thinking of opening the pack and loading it with Ten Fidy or something leaving two sodas by the handle opening in case they look it and resealing the box. If I do that between the wife and I that comes to 20 Ten Fidy's for a two day cruise.

The Oasis Class Royal Caribbean ships (Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas) have an English-style pub on them with decent beer selection. Not great, but a number of non-BMC options. Off the top of my head: SNPA, Victory, Boddingtons, several others in that vein. I think they also had bottles of Chimay.

Those same ships, however, also have a kick-ass wine bar and martini bar. That's where I did most of my drinking.

Did this on my last Royal Caribbean ship and it worked! Packed up an old suit case with cans and figured what the hell, it's worth a shot. Brought 36, including Wittekerke and some Oskar Blues selections among others. Too bad this was before Sierra and CCB were putting out cans. Can't promise it will work on every cruise, but it worked on the Monarch of the Seas out of Cape Canaveral.

I've done quite a few Carnival cruises and their beer selection is horrible. I would be excited to find SNPA on a cruise.

Your idea would probably work Hanzo, but you might get an overzealous inspector. The worst that would happen would be they confiscate your beer.

Someone on a previous thread posted about using SNPA in a Sprite box. I was thinking of using SNPA in a Sierra Mist box because of the similar names and colors. I would use Torpedo, but I don't think it comes in a 12 oz can.

It's likely intended to draw the adults. Disney ships don't have casinos and are geared towards kids, so they need to throw a few bones to adults and parents.

Yeah, I mean I would live with it if they confiscated it, but really would they open a "sealed" twelve pack of soda? I'd assume a good amount of people bring soda on to save money so it would likely be overlooked.

It's not likely, but there are reports on the cruise message boards of Barney Fife's every now and then. Just wanted to give you a heads-up that it is possible.

Yeah, just got back from a Princess cruise and the selection was terrible (as expected). The English style pub claimed many selections that included Blue Moon and Stella. Powerful stuff.

I packed rum in water bottles and stuck with whiskey when I bought something from the ship. Wine at dinner.

Needless to say, I was glad to see the Hopslam in my fridge when I got home.

I took an Alaskan cruise on Norweigan a couple of summers ago, and they had Alaskan Pale and Alaskan Amber.
