One for the Noobs: Hints and Hauls

It looks like I'm only going to be able to cross off one of my target's wants. Hopefully I'll be able to blow his mind with a bunch of Chicago area goodness to make up for it!

 

Watching this thread to see how it all turns out, since I wasn't able to join. Hope you all deliver/receive amazing boxes!

Home Depot should have double walled boxes in several sizes, as well as single walled boxes. Wal Mart sometimes has great double walled boxes too, with cheap single walled boxes you can fit inside them to double box. At both places they are priced pretty inexpensively. My local Uhaul store/self storage facility has an area with free, used boxes.

Hint #2: My target seems to prefer beer toward the dark end of the spectrum. I have a few stouts already to send and will be picking up a couple more this weekend. I hope he doesn't mind some of them with a couple of years already on them...

 

Hint #2 & #3: My targets state boards the Atlantic and my wife and I went to our first MLB game together in this state.

My target is getting a lot of dark beers which seems to be his preference and a few of those will be barrel aged. 2 wants covered. Ill be shipping out next week.

 

Hint #2:

My target's state has two football teams with one making the post-season this year. He still needs to add wants but I already have some pretty good ideas of what should be wants, hopefully he hasn't had them yet.

 

My target may get a hoppy growler and some nice hoppy bottles from the east.

 

My target makes me wish my state had better sour breweries... But I've got some good barrel aged stuff, and some local favorites with minimal distribution headed their way.

(Hint 2) They live in one of those states out in the middle of the country.

 

My target is younger than me.
And about 2 sizes smaller.
He may be an illegitimate child o' mine.

As for my target, I've finished getting all the beer. Got four of the wants plus added a few locals. May have gone a bit overboard because I'm right at the 200oz limit but it's my first time doing anything like this so figured I'd give it my best. Will be shipping out on Monday so clues will get better in time.

(Edit: I effed up the clue and forgot a word so I'm putting it in now).

My target is getting exactly 199.4 oz. of beer. I like to play by the rules.

Although younger than me, my targets tastes are pretty much the same as mine.
That should work out well for them.

Hint #1 - My target lives east of me and has celebrated a birthday within the last 2 months.

 

One of my target's wants is the 2nd favorite beer I've ever had, behind one of my current wants. It's a 99 rated, ~4.5 rAvg score beer.

I happen to have one more bottle of this want and think I'm going to let go of it for my target.

I'll likely be shipping early next week. Or early the following week. There's a release this weekend of another want I may try and finagle. I'll have to get a mule to #goandpickitupformebro if I can swing it.
