I get what you're saying bro. I felt the same when I went to pick up some hopslam and the guy working says "we got a couple cases of it yesterday but I guess some guy came in this morning and bought all of em....." it's just plain old douchebaggery either way you slice it. Just because shops and bars allow this bs still doesn't make it ok. Be reasonable, buy your beer but for $%@#sake let some other people enjoy it too. I think it's so messed up when I see pics on here of guys boasting their latest haul of 12 cases of nugget nectar or whatever other hard to get beer they've bankrupted their entire locale of. I mean seriously??

Can you list, in detail, the maximum allotments of each beer we are supposed to abide by? Both stores and taps....

There is so much amazing beer out there who gives a shit if you "miss out" on some. Move on to the next.

I do understand the OP being annoyed. I have been in my local, quiet pub before when loud, obnoxious people show up. It does make for an less than enjoyable time if you're used to being able to enjoy a more laid back scene at that particular establishment.

However, if things went down the way the OP says it did, then don't blame the obnoxious people. The bartender has control over who they serve and how much they serve. If they were truly being that rowdy, they should have been asked to leave.

Imagine the bar that had the huge rush of drunk people for Budweiser Black Crown. Get 'er done.

Ya You would miss the entire point of everything I just said and post some douchy reply. What I was saying is be reasonable and let some other people enjoy limited beers too. Guess I know what kind of guy you are though, probably got 10 cases of hopslam in your closet. Douche.

You're out drinking. People drink to get drunk. If you don't want to deal with people having FUN, then go to a formal restaurant. Don't be such a snobby, hipster, beer drinking guy.

(insert off topic rant in 3..2...1...)
Is everyone forgetting the point that beer is drank to have a good time? to drink it and not cellar it, this is BEER not wine... if you want to be like that, then switch to wine and wine tastings... and try not to get mad at the scene for going "mainstream", how can you get mad at your favorite brewer (and all its people they employ) for selling alot of beer and being successful? ugh. annoying..

I certainly wouldn't let you enjoy anything if I had the chance Mr. Personal Attacks. If I see you behind me in line, I will buy out the entire store and leave you with Black Crown.

Yep. Going out at night requires tolerance of others. If you don't have it, stay home.

That's when you pull the fake cop routine. 'Guys, I'm off duty, but I think you've had enough. Maybe call it a night before I have to make a call?" Then it's back to a peaceful night at the bar.

I dont see a problem with it. What if they came in ans started pounding $30 bottles of wine? Would you have the same reaction? Its just beer! Good Grief!!!

Right until one of those guys is a cop wants to know why he doesn't know you (what color is the boathouse at Hereford!!??) and you're busted for impersonating a police officer. Guessing your night would go from bad to worse on that deal...

if it is a limited beer it is the business's responsibility to put a limit on it. If they don't it is fair game. Does it suck for you? Sure, but that doesn't mean it was wrong of the person. No one is entitled to anything, we just have to abide by the rules of the establishment.

If people are buying 12 cases of NN, I would guess a lot of that is going to be shared, maybe a party, gifts, trades, whatever.

As someone who hates crowds like this, I don't see what is wrong with them. I personally do not enjoy them and have left places early when stuff like this happens (tour buses at local breweries). However, it is their right to be there, and until the establishments decide to restrict them I will just choose to go home, go some where else, or deal with it.

If you can't go out and have fun getting wine drunk, BM me when you're in Chicago next. There is no reason to put beer and wine in different FUN ZONES.

On topic, it actually sounds kind of hilarious, and I wish I had witnessed it.
