Off as in I am getting no citrus, do you want the rest of mine? You should pick up a sixer to see for yourself, or a single if your store does that.

It's on the Cape at Centerville package. Picked up a six pack. Very tasty.

Off tasting is what I meant. By no means is it bad it just doesn't taste like NN to me. Ive only grabbed one 6er tho so it could just be the batch I got.

I'm kind of in the same boat (and I don't want to be "that guy" either, but I'm getting a lot more Munich/Vienna out of this years' batch which seem to overpower the hops.) Then again maybe I'm mis-remembering / romanticizing how the 2012 batch was.

I'm glad to have gotten a sixer of it - it won't go to waste.

I'll be staying up in Methuen after the EBF Saturday... Anyone seen NN up that way?

Probably can't be found in Methuen but Andover is close by and At the Andovers and Andover Liqours should have it.

Thanks. I'll give those places a try and see what other MA locals they have to bring back with me.

They have plenty at DeCicco's in Brewster, when you come back.

Yep, that's a bit out of the way, so hopefully it doesn't come to that. My closer NY options didn't have it yet earlier this week, so hopefully MA is good to me.

I was making fun of that guy last year, now I'm that guy.

Andover Liquors had a small mountain of it yesterday.

But they also had GI Lolita so I bought that instead.

They were out, but managed to find another small mountain nearby. Thanks for the help everyone.

after enjoying it last night (batch 1/29), must disagree with the naysayers......it is delicious and on par with years prior to last year (which was off).

I too have the 1/29 batch and found it very malty. I walked by the huge display at Wegman's and went right to the two cases of Lagunitas Sucks sitting on the floor. I guess we have different palates as I found last years to be very good.

I'll get a bomber though when it comes out to see if that batch is any different.

I can't remember from last years version as I only had maybe 2 bottles, but this year's to me is a good beer, but a 98 BA score? I'm not sure about that. Its definitely good and I'll easily finish the sixer, but in terms of hyped limited releases, I'll take Sucks over this any day. And it smells much better than it tastes imo.

Having some from the 1/14 batch and am enjoying it....def. not picking up the maltiness that others are in the 1/29 batch. But I'll second Dools that fwiw Sucks is just as good as this year, if not better and much easier to procure.

Just had my first of the year - 1/14 batch - meh. This is two years in a row now that I don't think this beer lives up to its former glory. It's still a tasty and solid beer that is well priced at $12/6-er, but it is no longer a drool worthy Top 100 beer. You can chalk it up to palate changing, but there are still plenty of other seasonals that tickle my taste buds the same way every year (like Celebration). I really think NN has changed.

I can't stress enough that this beer used to be a highlight release for me to the point that even before it came up here I'd go visit my friends in Philly after it came out to make sure I got some.

I still think this is a great beer as I did last year I guess the hype is not what it used to be so to most it taste like shit now oh well more for me !!!!!
