and an Opeth marathon. I just found out they'll be here in May! Now, as for my 1st Rye da Tiger . . . damn fine brew! Another 3 Floyds masterpiece . . . still can do no wrong! Cheers \m/!

 

Personally I like Nugget Nectar quite a bit better, but my opinion of Tocobaga appears to be something of an aberration. I love Jai Alai, I love hoppy red ales, I should love Tocobaga. But I feel like it's pretty great fresh-fresh, but the second the hops fall off at all the malt develops an odd metallic character that I really don't dig. But I dunno. I may be alone on that.

So, Nugget Nectar > Tocobaga, by a substantial margin in my book (and that's not to say that Tocobaga isn't any good. In fact, it's awesome.)

 

Thursday night beer run because of the ahole blizzard. At least this finally landed out by me, 01/30/13, and flowing right.

Great, now I'm even more anxious for Nugget Nectar! Luckily the one shipment I got of Tocobaga was merely weeks old, and it was overall pretty amazing. Needless to say, I'll be ISO until I find it!

I just got the new Dogfish/SN IPA glass delivered today. What can I say, I am a sucker for glasses. The glass is more stable than I thought it might be but it is a pain in the ass to clean and dry the bottom portion.

Opened up a Hopslam and am doing a little side by side glass test to determine the differences if any. Cheers.

 

This is my first time ever mixing two beers together. Pretty tasty but I think I prefer them both individually.




Enjoying the hell out of watching the Pens beat down the sorry Caps.

 

Sooooo... Had some solid beers tonight. Pinko, 12% RIS aged in 12 yr Pappy barrels from Flat Twelve (great local Indiana brewery) and then FFF Alpha King on draft. But right now, wrapping up with a Seagrams 7 and Dt Mtn Dew. What can I say??? I'll save the nugget nectar and heady for tomorrow night when I'll enjoy it.
