Just finished watching Illinois beat Indiana at the last second. I can't stand those Hoosiers Drinking an Equinoxe Du Printemps. I love this beer.

Yeah! And as well my grandpa from my dad's side (the non Italian side) grew up in the Southern Tier. Cincinnatus to be exact! Much snow fall had I seen!

 

I haven't cracked mine open yet. Is it worth it, or should I drain poor?

I actually thought it was pretty damn tasty. I'm not exactly well-versed on barleywines, and it's far from a favorite style of mine, but I savored this puppy all night. Maybe people are coming to expect too much from Founders nowadays?

My first HopSlam and I don't think that I am going to get any love on this, but, meh. This is a 'hop bomb?' Bitter, mild, no bite on the after taste... I hope the second is better, or I just may have some available for trade.

The haziest beer I've ever drank deserves a pretty hazy, amazing song. Sometimes I forget how much I love this band.

Well, I'm conflicted. I wanted to celebrate the underdog with the Illinois beating Indiana (5th #1 to go down in consecutive weeks!), but now Duke is destroying NCSU. That means I'll have to listen to Duke fans gloat and State fans mourn all day tomorrow. I decided to pop a Widmer Galaxy Hopped Barleywine. Bottled March 14, 2011. This is absolutely delicious. It's malty as hell, deep, complex, bitter, and hoppy. It's everything an American Barleywine should be! Cheers!
