How does that compare to the Tasmanian?

Solid, nothing mind blowing, but I have no problem drinking it.

Home from work and opened a nugget nectar, now onto a pure pineapple burst of flower power. Off to sleep after that

    Enjoy

I like the Tasmanian better, but the American IPA is a close comparison. Just american hops vs Australian, absolutely a great beer!

Damn ended the night with a Affligem Tripel and a New Belgium Tripel think we agree the rankings should be as follows by style:

    St. Bernadus
    Affligem
    Sam Adams New World
    Watou
    New Belgium Tripel

Have had La Fin Du Monde and Chimay White too many times to count and would put those above or damn near equal to St. Bernadus but can really appreciate the different twist all of these had to them but sadly I can't get rid of these hiccups now.

Water now. Went to a new brewery by my house (Valiant Brewing Company) and had the 3 beers they had on tap (Pretty good). Went to the Tilted Kilt after and had a Goose Island 312 which was nasty imo.

Went to the Winter Brew Fest here on Chicago and got to try a bunch of local brews. My favorite of the night was from a new brewery named Begyle Brewery. They poured a red ale named Rua Irish Style Red Ale. Smooth & malty with a hop forward profile. I was really impressed with their IPA and Blonde beers too.

Also tried the lager from Half Acre. It was a typical lager, nothing more or less. But their Big Hugs stout was pretty amazing. Deep & creamy with chocolate and coffee notes.

Ended the night with Revolution's Repo Man Rye Stout. Outstanding. Light and nicely carbonated. The rye presence was just enough to give it some depth, but not over take the rest of the flavors. Very well balanced .

Did not know Free Will was bottling. I liked this beer the first time at Capones and every time it gets less inspiring. The sour was not great either

    Enjoy
