I thought about going to this release until I realized that I'd likely be standing in line all night just for the opportunity to spend ungodly amounts of money for a beverage.

Instead, I'll just roll on through 2 days later and pick it up without the hassle once they find some more.

And then you will roll on through 3 days later and pick some up for me too right? #Entitled

12oz is an option also (they've done Tenacious Cassis that way before). The nip would be much preferred over either 12oz or 375 though.

Anyway, if it is 375 I'm guessing $22 - which seems like a lot, but the last release of KRE was $13 for half that amount (so I guess it's a bargain?).

I'm very curious as to how it'll be drinking. Blueberry is a pretty delicate fruit flavor-wise and doesn't always translate to beer as well as I would imagine some brewers hope it would.

Your post was the first mention of a silent release... If that were the case, this thread wouldn't exist. If beer just showed up a general store, it would be first come first serve and I wouldnt be doing that as a brewery unless limits were in place. Anyway, Bell's had nothing to do with this so yea...

Kuhnhenn was established in 1998, but didn't actually open until 2001.

These are going to be in 187ml bottles. There was an empty bottle (green glass) on top of the taps a few weeks back in the old small size that had the new label and said raspberry eisbock. I can imagine the blueberry will be the same.

Really? You saw an empty Raspberry Eisbock bottle and extrapolated from there? Amazing exhibition of sleuthing!

I guess that trumps Eric telling me they would be 375s

Nope, those growlers are only for Bourbon Banana French Toast, which is being released the next day at the ticketed event.

My apologies if I'm wrong, we'll know soon enough. Just commenting to what I saw.

Although I would enjoy the silent release from Kuhnhenn's, I don't you can compare Bell's and Kuhnhenn's at this level. They have completely different business models. Kuhnehnn's must get something out of these advertised releases or why would they do them.

They are busy on weekend nights, as they are on midweek nights as well. They aren't that busy during the day on the weekends. They probably get a bump when releasing when they open, early on weekends.

Anybody know if they have kegs of this, along with the bottles? I really don't care about picking up bottles, but if I can have a snifter or two, that would be good.
