Barrel Aged Bigfoot in Texas

I was going to crack this one this weekend... but after reading this I'm thinking twice about it. While the drive to get this was a pain, it really doesn't seem as bad as I originally thought lol.

 

Yeah just send out a RU-55 like I did and get one lol, saves me the trouble of driving around

 

Well, I guess I'll never get to try this.

Beer has now jumped the shark in Houston.

I'm about ready to give up.

Seems that downtown Specs continues its deliberate misinformation.

 

RU-55 is a pain in the ass to find too. Guess why... Because a certain liquor chain only sells it at one of their many locations in Houston just like every other new beer from Jester King no matter how large the run.

 

The Specs love in this thread is unbelievable. LOL.

But really, I hope they understand that the Spec's Beer Dept has completely "jumped the shark". I've stopped shopping there completely because of the ineptitude of that department, even in Austin.

Good sandwiches though, we can all admit that.

 

Yep, and there where about 6 bottles of it on the shelf next to a couple of Funk's as well at this illustrious location.

For what it's worth I have seen RU-55 at two different shops not named specs in the past week.

Found mine gents! It's at the central market off westheimer and weslayn. They also have RU-55 and Boxers. Ready! Set! Go!

Yeah, BA Bigfoot, much like the real Bigfoot has gone into hiding. Either had to be friends your bottle shop guy or be in the right place at the right time.

 

Was here at lunch. There's none left, as the rather odd shop-keep informed me.

 

I'm planning to go up to Jester King on Saturday. If anyone has an extra bottle or two of BA Bigfoot and wants to do an IP trade there for BCBS, hit me up. I have other stuff to offer as well. Also could bring Freetail bottles up.... Whatever is in the bottle shop, or I have Four and End of the World Ale bottles.
