Stone Espresso IRS

I-mf'ing-SO.

My hope is the the espresso flavor tones down the anise/licorice from the original IRS, which (IMO) is one of the only things holding it back.

 

Really looking forward to this one.

 

Ooh . . . that'd be good. I've never had Stone's IRS, but I can't stand anise flavors. Unless it's really muted and herbal, as opposed to licorice and candy-like. Goddamn I hate that flavor.

 

Odd flavors for odd years. Stone IRS does not usually have that anise flavor, in 2011, they had the anise, and belgo-anise editions. Could not picture an anise espresso flavor. Isn't that chicory?

 

Definitely want to try this.

Yeah... Stone actually makes an "Anise" IRS. It was.... bleh. Literally nothing but anise. I actually mistakenly grabbed this when looking for a regular IRS... Then when I finally tried the regular IRS, I still thought it was a little too sweet and had too much anise. Definitely leagues better, but the anise was still a nuisance. So hopefully this espresso will be amazing.

 

So glad it's not another anus beer.

 

Just pleated my pants. espresso and beer..that has to be, like, cutting edge!

Honestly tho I can't wait for this, solid brewery and solid style, ought to be great.

Those flavors aren't present in the original IRS, only the horrid special edition one. This new one should have zero anise or licorice flavors.

 

Still looking for the Stone Collabo Mint Chocolate Stout, to no avail.

yeah i ended up with about two cases(purchased off shelves) of the regular stuff last year. I'm going to need 3 cases of this, preferably at once.
