Think I'll run up tomorrow. Need an Amity run anyway. Anyone know if they can handle swing-top growlers?

They had trouble filling Hill Farmstead 750ml swing tops last time I was there.

Precisely what I was going to bring. Guess I'll dig out my old screw top.

They are hard to fill and lose lots of carbonation in the process.
Find that old trusty screw top,you will be much better off.

    Cheers/Enjoy

Yeah, they used to have a tube to fill long neck growlers like the HF 750 but apparently it went AWOL or they weren't happy with it or something, cos they're not using it now.

Mississippi Mud comes in 32oz growlette if you want a cheap screwtop

All of the above. While I like the idea of "attempted murder", I really enjoy the added play on words while maintaining the contextual idea.

The original idea of having Premeditated Murder turn into Attempted Murder after being barrel aged didn't make a lick of sense unless you were familiar with the original beer's label - i.e., a crow fantasizing about banging another crow so as to make enough baby crows to constitute a murder. Then Attempted Murder, rather than being a far less-severe crime than PM, is actually the next step - fantasy turns into action as the crows stop dreaming and start making sweet, sweet crow love.

Conveying this would have made for a terrific label, I'm sure, but I think it would have confused a lot more people who would have assumed that actual, premeditated murder must be a more serious beer than one that's merely attempted.

Also, combining a Shining reference with a nod toward the type of barrel used just works too well to pass up.

There was a butt-load at Amity today, so I'm assuming it's the new batch.

Was told today that it should be ready in a couple of weeks. I'm pumped.

They also have sent out the label for Redrum for approval. They said they aren't sure yet on the release date (apparently the snow sent their schedule haywire), but it won't be until after the Coffee Oatmeal Stout. Did get to see the barrels it's aging in, though. Resisted the urge to lick them to claim them as my own.

I think I was standing right next to you. Were you the guy and girl that left with three growlers? I helped you shut the door.

Yeah, its a total pain in the ass for them due to the height of the taps but they will begrudgingly wedge it in there and proceed to spill a lot of beer.

That didn't age too long....it'll have about six months on it?

As of the FBD release, they were more or less refusing to fill them, as well as my 1 liter swingtop Night Shift growler, etc.

Matt did say they were going to get a bunch of screwcap short 32 oz growlers for people who want half fills though.

Smaller growlers would be great. I hate the pressure of trying to kill a full growler in 24 hours or so.
