I put a sixer of torpedoes down somewhat regularly. It's my go to beer when I am golfing, or BBQin some ribs or tri-tip. For that I consider it sessionable. However, I am usually fairly faded. I view sessionable as, can I drink a lot of it without it being too much and torpedo fits that bill.

I completely see your point and wouldn't disagree.

Hill Farmstead Edward, its very good and only 5.20. Most of the pale ales they make(Riwaka,Simcoe etc)up there are lowish abv and high taste. A growler of Edward won't put you face down on the couch like one of Double Galaxy or Abner. Went up yesterday and grabbed a few Edward, Harlan and Double Galaxy. Really miss the Susan, just the best single IPA that I've had.

Haven't had the chance to try most of these suggestions, so I won't claim that this is "the hoppiest"--but if you can find Uinta Wyld: try it.

Shut the Hell Up from the (former) Alchemist brewpub. I have been bugging them via facebook and twitter to bring it back in cans...

    Super hoppy and 3.3% ABV.

It's also not true that it contains more hops than any beer ever brewed in the UK. 60 kilos per 20 hl only works out to about 10 lbs per 36-gallon barrel. Plenty of 19th-century beers with more hops than that.

I too really like North Peak's Wanderer. Haven't tried All Day IPA yet and look forward to trying it.

I came here to say Jabby Brau. Technically, I know it's not an IPA, but is certainly hoppy enough to taste like one. Coming in at 4.5%, I could drink that stuff all day, every day.

I would definitely go with FW Pale 31. Super full flavored and under 5%
