It's scheduled for March 23rd this year at Nats' Stadium. Tickets are $35 right now, but I'm wondering if it's anything special. Anyone go last year? Decently impressive list of participating breweries (Dogfish, Allagash, FW, Bell's, OB, etc.) but if they're just pouring their regular brews, it's not worth it. Apparently this is the 2nd year they've done this- anyone have any info from last year's event?

I really like the NoVA beer fest out in the 'burbs. I'm not so much a fan of the FFX County police though.
Beerfest + Metro access sounds like a no-brainer.

I didn't go last year, but I have been to Brew at the Zoo, which sounds a lot like this one. If you like waiting in long lines for year-round beers you can get anywhere, surrounded by obnoxious drunk people, you'll have a great time.

Edit: I'd like to add that I'm not a total beer festival hater. I went to Snallygaster this year and had a great time. It was probably the best-run event of its kind that I've ever been to.

Edit #2: They're calling this the "inaugural DC Beer Festival," so I'm pretty sure this is the first time they've done this. I certainly don't remember there being one last year.

I went to one a number of years ago at the DC Armory, wasn't that great. I think this has a chance to be fun at the stadium, will be curious to see the list of beers though.

Anyone have any inside info on this event? I don't feel like shelling out $40 for just a standard lineup of beers from places.

Im on the fence about the 3 hour session aspect, but im most likely will go if i can get a Saturday eve. ticket.

I think I would much rather buy a case of Sucks and actually have some solid beer for $40. That lineup is the definition of average.

If this is anything like the beer fest put on by Living Social at the SE Waterfront, it will be horrible. Long lines for small samples of average beer.

I've been debating this as well...but in seeing the beer list above, I'm going to pass. this seems more and more like a sloppy drunkfest, and has the potential to be horribly organized. Also, given the list above...not expecting anything rare or interesting to be poured

I'm skipping this, and saving my $ the Craft Brewers Conference events, which start on Monday the 25th: http://www.dcbeer.com/news/announcing-dcbeers-craft-brewers-conference-2013-coverage

I'm excited about the Pietasters concert, but that's just me.
