Firestone Walker Sucaba (Abacus) Release

Doesn't really make sense does it? I'm not that far from the brewery itself and so I had the same thought as you.

 

No, makes no sense. I think between Alpine and Santa Monica, I must have visited 40-50 bottles shops and the friggin' hipster shop in downtown LA was the only place that had it. Oh well, I'm the dumby who passed on it to save $2.

 

I don't think it's even landed here yet. None of the shops I've talked to have received any. I think it will be around LA soon but it's crazy to me that we're the last place to get it.

 

^ Yeah, no way it has yet. Just funny how spotty things seem to be in Southern California...

 

It's hit at least 4 out of the 6 shops I usually hit up in Los Angeles. It hit, but seriously, it's not one of those to worry about. I've walked into Whole Foods and just asked about those perpetrator series bottles and found last years by asking.

 

I've tasted 2012 quite a few times within the last six weeks so I'm gonna drink my 2013 bottle fresh. Made a lot of phone calls for this one but it was a facebook update that ultimately landed me a bottle.

 

2013 is drinking fantastic fresh, both on tap and from the bottle. Enjoy!

Is this from that new brewery out of San Quentin? I've heard most of those beers should be locked up for 3-5 years with no chance at parole.

 

So Chicago city and west burbs saw this last week. Haven't seen it in NW burbs yet... really?

 

I just found out that Humboldt County's distributor has stopped carrying Firestone Walker beers. No Sucaba for us

 

Got mine in KC on Monday. I know of another place in town getting a case next week.

 

Ardmore on North/83 has some... just picked one up today. $16 I think. Only one per.

 

I was able to grab a bottle today. I finally get to try Sucaba!

 

The Total Wine in Scottsdale got two cases yesterday (2-20-13). $15.24/bottle

So 48 bottles total made it to the state of Texas which went for sale today (FSW launch this week in Austin)... 1 per person at Whole Foods Downtown Austin & Spec's Liquor @ Brodie Ln. Sold for $14.99 & $15.99 respectively.

David Walker was at both events and signed one of my bottles. Cool dude.
