In 1960, my fraternity always purchased Blatz beer because it was $1.00/6 pack. You could not purchase soda-pop for that price!
At the University of Michigan, I discovered Lowenbrau Dark for the winter and found the great hops of Ballantine Ale to be refreshing in the summer.
Long story short, I have to watch much of any alcohol consumption because of interactions with cancer and cardiac drugs I am taking, but still like the taste of a beer with a decent amount of hops in it. With the loss of Ballantine, I discovered Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for the occasional refreshing beverage.
Now that there are so many claims of a better ale and better techniques for making non-alcoholic beers, I thought I would perform some taste testing of my own.
Other than the above, I love to play tennis, shoot archery, hunt and fish. Maybe golf, but hate to eat up so much time knocking a little white ball into 18 holes when I could be doing other things.
