With regards to beer, I've enjoyed and continue to enjoy a fairly wide spread of styles. My absolute favorite is big, strong stouts -- something about that big combo of flavor + brain-deleting strength appeals to me. I also enjoy Belgian styles, big IPAs, normal strength milk stouts, and...oh yeah, I have a soft spot still for malt liquors. They were my first beers that I actually enjoyed, and some I still drink as fallback when I don't have craft money.
I brew my own once in awhile, just to experiment really. Favorites among ones I've DIY'd have been a Belgian Tripel/Mexican brew hybrid, a malt liquor (conceptually speaking, an Imperial Adjunct Lager) hopped to IPA strength, and a Big Damn Imperial Stout w/ coffee & brown sugar.
When I'm not drinking beer or brewing beer, I'm making music (here's where some of that is).
