    I’m in both the city (Cincinnati) and county (Hamilton) parks deer management programs (bow only), so it’s public land technically managed as “private” for state recording purposes. Also hunt some private woods/fields.

    Thanks! Just a button buck — small, but … tender! I passed on a buck last week because I didn’t want to burn my buck tag this early in the season (only one per year in Ohio), and passed on another deer because I couldn’t get a for-sure angle on it. But, the season’s still young.

So, I’m not a heavy drinker, but I do enjoy a beer with dinner most evenings, and maybe one or two more on a weekend or holiday. I particularly enjoy discovering (and enjoying!) perfect pairings of beer with food, especially with food I’ve charcoal-grilled, and shared with family and good friends.

Professionally I’m a pastoral counselor (clinical mental health counselor) in private practice, doing individual, marriage, and family counseling, consultation and training, and Critical Incident Stress Management. I volunteer at our church in multiple roles, and have 41 years of experience as a volunteer Cincinnati Police Chaplain, including in roles with the SWAT Team and the Homicide Squad.

I enjoy backpacking, deer hunting, and charcoal grilling, and typically run two or three marathons a year.

My wife and I live in Cincinnati. Our two kids are well-launched, living with their spouses/families in Warroad, MN and Littleton, CO.
