Check your date on that. It's been in tallboys for a few months now. It's a great beer and I've never tasted onions in it.

I stole my photo from google, and mine was in a tallboy. 12-14-12 (interesting note: I didn't know these had dates!) It should still be in the good range. Does it have summit hops? Sometimes I hear people associate Oskar Blues with summit and onion flavors.

Founders Imperial Stout. (Imho one of the best imperial stouts I've ever had.)

Brings me back to the days when I'd get an order of spicy BBQ 1/2 chicken, a side of steak fries and a pitcher of Dead Guy to share with my Girlfriend. Place had a sink in the middle of the table. It was tits!

Had a few Ruthless Ryes from Sierra Nevada tonight. Very nice with a strong malt backbone.

Enjoying this one but it's not smokey or different enough from the regular version in my opinion.

Double Crooked Tree. (Damn I should've picked up the 4pk instead of just getting a single.) Nice sweetness to this one (think Hopslam). This one is reminding me of Maharaja and and moreso Behemoth. Anyways, I've said it before and I'll say it again, the midwest really makes some of the best ipas.

Finishing with Oud Beersel Oude Kriek. A lot less harsh (in-your-face-sour) than the last kriek I had (Hanssenns...sp?). It delivers what I expect; cherry (though not as prominent as I'd like), sourness (the biggest component) and belgian-ness, for lack of a better word (I get some of that funky, barnyard taste underlying.) and it all works extremely well together.

I can no longer conceive of a good reason to drink wine when I can drink this beer instead.
A hop eclipse now in Delaware.

Interesting talk by Sam Calagione as well, they were cheering to see 60-minute go down in sales relative to their other, odder stuffs; off-centric ales and such..
