    I'm giving wheat beers another chance. Had Erdinger Weissbier, Weihenstephaner Hefe and now Schneider Weisse Mein Grünes Tap 4. Erdinger was so-so, it reminds me of why I haven't been too impressed with wheat beers in the past. Weihenstephaner had a nice interesting spicy note which was definitely pleasant. I've had it once before but last time around I wasn't too impressed, this time I appreciate it alot more, I suppose my palate is developing. Mein Grünes is even more to my liking, it has that nice underlying spiciness of the Weihenstephaner yet it also has some nice refreshing hop notes which complements it really well. Mein Grünes is definitely the winner of the three.

    Good stuff, but it isn't going to displace any of the more popular/famous English barleywines.

    Another LongShot...Strawberry Lager. I'm not a big fan of that fruit but I really enjoyed the beer. Weird??

    Opened a bottle of Stone Vertical Epic 12.12.12 last night. Color of black coffee. Heavy malt flavor. Very good but the spices were a bit overpowering for my taste.
