Just like the title states. I came across a stash of these in local liquor store, but they are asking $10.95 each. I've really wanted to try this, but I have a hard time coughing up that much for one beer. Should I just suck it up and buy it? Thanks.

Even though I haven't drank mine yet I'll go ahead and say yes.

I dont remember what I paid for mine, but I remember thinking twice about it and I hardly ever have sticker shock. After I drank it, I was upset that I bought the last one. I wanted more.

If you've wanted to try it, grab one. I get it for $7.99 in Delaware, but $8.99-9.99 is more common a price. $10.95 is a buck or two high, but definitely worth trying once.

Ok, thanks! I'll just suck it up. I've just finished being a student, so I still have my cheap hat on. Lol. I've definitely heard good things though.

Yes. Buy it. I picked up 4 bottles last time I was in Washington state and can't wait for my next trip up to refill. Sadly, DFH doesn't distribute this to Cali.

Everything is worth trying once, and that price isn't outrageously out of line for that beer($9.99 seems to be the most common). I tried it once and wouldn't spend money on it again, but I have a general loathing for most things Dogfish Head.

That's a little high, but the bigger issue is it's not a very good beer fresh. You need to give it a good 5 years of age to get the heat down. Otherwise it tastes like an alcohol bomb.

It's yummy... and you do get bang for your buck because at such a high abv, it's a 1 beer for the night kind of situation. You'll definitely be satiated once your done.

What is the bottle date? A place by me had 2009 bottles for sale for three years until I bought the last one a few weeks ago. At $9.99, it was a steal. If it has any age on it, buy it! These begin to drink very well after three years, then fantastic after five years. Almost takes on a port-like quality.

I guess I'll be the first one to say "no". So....

    No.

Personally, I just didn't enjoy it at all. I split it with several people, and I'm glad I only had about two ounces to get through. I was extremely excited to try it when I saw it a few years ago, and was equally disappointed when I actually drank it. More for the rest of you, I guess.

I've paid as much as $14, but I regularly pay $10. Check the "bottled on" year; if it's prior to 2011, then it's definitely worth it. If it's 2011 or 2012, then it'll be worth it in two years.

I think its worth it. I was about to pay $7.99 for one but the cashier rang it up as something else and got it for $1.50...I was drinking before this so beware, it will get you intoxicated.

That's definitely on the high side compared to CT. Usually about $8 here.

I graduated college 3 years ago and sometimes regret being so cheap back then. College is the time of life when you'll never be so poor yet have so much dispensable income. Life gets a lot more expensive after school is done.

I was about to point out that it is so strong and so unusual that he might not like the flavor. That seems to happen a lot with DFH. Personally I like WWS and Burton Baton, but I can't say the same for Midas Touch.

Thanks for in the input. I do like my stouts, so I think I'll give it a try. It is just kind of hard to justify, especially when I can thrown in an extra buck and a half and try a St. Bernardus 12 (750ml).
