I'm in the middle of working my way through a case that I bought a few weeks ago and every bottle has been spot on.

Watching the Masters! Since this is a harbinger of spring and optimism, renewal and the cycle of life, I'm going with saisons.

    First up:

Super, super dry. Incredibly easy drinking, grassy, herbal, some lemony zing. I love it.

Started today by leaving work after just one hour with a bad back. Trying now to drink it into submission. Starting with Breckenridge 72 Imperial chocolate stout. Not so sure what's next, but spending the day on the floor with a little Call of Duty...

A friend out of state keeps telling me about these guys and making me wish they would make it out to Colorado. Now seeing that they are offered in 12 oz bottles, I want even more.

To continue a great birthday weekend I am opening a '10 Parabola, I have never tried Parabola before and I was told this vintage is falling off a bit in flavor. All I have to say if this is a waning flavor I will take it anytime! Cheers to all you BA's! This toast is for all you great people!

Pretty good. Not as sweet as expected, little hot in the finish, but still pretty good.

Now onto an American wild I brewed back in 2011. Aged on Pinot Noir oak cubes with Pedio, Lacto, Brett and other funky bugs.

    Cheers,

This is the first one of theirs I've had. I have a couple of their 750ml Saisons in my cellar that I'm looking forward to trying over the next couple weekends. Apparently, they focus on traditional Belgian-style Farmhouse Ales, but like a few other craft brewers they seem to favor using American hops for that nice citrusy hoppy flavor.

A new pilot/experimental beer by Funkwerks, a Belgian Blond. Nothing too special but a decent, easy drinking beer on this sunny day as I watch some Rockies baseball.
