    As promised....
    I love Double Trouble, but much to my pessimism going in, the bourbon barrel on Doom puts a welcomed twist on it.
    Two totally different beers - no hop bite on the Doom, but awesome bourbon on the front side makes it unique.

    Earlier enjoyed a Dark Horse Cascade IPA (ok, yeah, some other EERT thing-- a really strangely named brew), and really did enjoy it too (best of the four variety pack), and now getting to the end of one of these:

    On this Pure Guava IPA, I feel the need to comment: On the initial and second sip, there is this weird note that passes fast on the palate--hard to describe, just kind of briefly weird, but then the rest is great. It basically goes away, thankfully (the weird note, I mean). Overall this is very good, and really balances as it slowly warms. I really think it's terrific, and wish some way I had a few more of these in the icebox...only one more to go!
    And so they do go away...Drink While You May!
