Yeah it sucks the date is pretty much unreadable if you hold up a full beer, best way to read it is to hold it upside down. I as well learned this the hard way after having a shitty tasting Hop Rod.

 

Given your answer, I would say you drank both of them!! Maybe not all of the one on the left though.
Not sure how anyone can have any NN left from one year to the next either.

 

I am told that's exactly what they do - they hold back beer and time the releases such that they believe the beer will arrive in optimal condition at the end point. How exactly they manage the distributor-consumer delay, particularly far away on the East Coast, I don't know. I lived in Philadelphia for many years and noticed a wide variation in the color and quality of Racer 5, but now that I live within a 45 minute drive of the brewery in California, I find it highly consistent both on tap and in bottles, so what I have been told seems plausible.

Nope, my friend and I went on our lunch break and they said they still had 100 cases. I just had one, and holy shit balls it's incredible..
