    That's actually the Goose Island 25th Anniversary beer.

    Not bad for an evening's drinking- though I would have preferred more of a yeast signature (a bit too straightforward with the caramal malt and hops). The good thing is, that a pint into it it starts to taste like ginger snaps. Huzzah- cookie beer! Cheers, everybody.

    As said, it's close. Tastes an awful lot like the Eiche, but with about 5.5% ABV. Again, I think this could be an award-winner in today's culture. Still, not quite where I want it to be....

    EDIT: still downed 3 while I was sitting at the Biergarten bench.
