I honestly really dislike the size, I generally don't want to drink 22oz of beer (and they are usually high ABV) at a time.

I wish there were less shitty breweries out there making me waste 8-12 dollars on a six pack. :slight_frown:

Send me your addy, I'll send you some Wingman P-51 Porter. Then we'll see if you want all beers to be widely available.

You would think that but you can not find it around here. It was easier for me to get a case of kbs then any bcbs. I will be in chicago in a few weeks so im hoping to find some just laying around in the stores.

I wish that breweries would patent a non oxidizing cap or something that would prevent oxidization for bombers, 750s and growlers so we don't have to down a 12% ABV brew in like an hour.

P.S. Is oxidization even a word?

I agree that craft beer needs better, more consistent distribution. I'd also like to change the frenzy that goes with limited releases, but I guess there isn't much you can do about that.

Someone upthread wrote "End to the three tier system." I gave it a like. But because I can't give it more than one like, and because I think it trumps everything else, I say...

End to the three tier system

Not a small fix, but there seems to be an epidemic currently of people that don't know how to brew good beer, going professional. Not that every brewer should be able to create something as original and ground-breaking as Pliny the Elder, I am just saying that the secret is out, and there is enough information at hand to brew a beer that does the style justice. You can make whatever you want, but stop calling what your making something that it isn't. So many of these small problems would be fixed if this didn't happen at such an astounding rate. There is to much competition to get a spot on a tap or shelf for many to consider it worth the trouble. The farther you distribute, the less influence you have, many establishments will just put on whatever is local, they don't know any better. No wonder so many great breweries decide not to expand, there is not enough room.

Sorry about the rant, I just wish some people would take more pride in their work.

What are the three tiers? Brewery/distributor/retailer?? Isn't that the same for any other product?

No. Walmart buys tshirts direct from the manufacturer in Bangladesh. Most states, by legislation, require that beer is sold by a licensed brewery, to a licensed distributor, who sells it to a licensed retail outlet. Micros cannot find shelf or tap space against the majors under this system. This is a throwback to the middle of the last century. There is no longer any reason that licensed breweries cant sell directly to stores or bars and restaurants.
