I really liked Relic's Shipwright British Imperial IPA, something that most people on here may not be aware of. In a different flavor profile from a lot of others mentioned already.

I think there's a bunch of really great, really similar IPAs and DIPAs being produced across the country and the hype train will come and go, but I'll add another no-homer vote for Kane's Overhead. I had one fresh from the brewery last weekend and was in San Francisco drinking fresh Pliny two days later and remember thinking to myself that Pliny wasn't as good as I remember. Overhead killed it.

Kane's putting out great stuff right now despite what I thought was a rough public debut in their first bottle (Malus - putting out a big quad as your first bottle is risky at best and this didn't do him any favors.)

I concur. I just polished off a growler of this and Amazeballs. Retardedly good. Any of the following from Peekskill will suffice:

Amazeballs (might be the best beer brewed in NY right now)
    Eastern Standard
    Double Standard
Dream of the 90's (Coffee IPA)
