I know lots of folk get down on these and can't discuss without effortlessly blurting out "Weihenstephaner", "proper German....." etc.

    Anyway, my faves...

Captain Lawrence Sun Block. Shit name. Gorgeous beer, and perhaps the most refreshing beer I know

Southern Tier Hop Sun. Former fave, but CL chopped it down

FFF Gumballhead. I don't expect t an arguement here

Anchor Summer Beer. The brilliance is so subtle, but that slight tart finish and the everlasting creamy head...

That's all I got in NY...minus the FFF, which I get when traveling to IL frequnetly

I haven't heard anything about it coming back this year, but NEBCO Alphaweizen is amazing. Fingers crossed for its return!

Oberon. Can't get away from it during a midwest summer, but damn if it's not tasty.

    Bell's Oberon

I'm not a fan of the aggressively hopped wheat. I'll pass on Gumball Head & 80 Acre.

Mine is Lagunitas A Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale, its freaking awesome. A delicious beer but you have to be careful because it will creep up on you given its alcohol content. I've never had Gumballhead, but would love to try it. I'm not a big fan of Oberon and I have tried it many times.

Little Sumpin' Sumpin', Gumballhead, and Oberon, with the last of those, IMO, having redefined the style (remember those U.S. "wheats" from the 90s?) to make it one of the more unique U.S. "craft" offerings out there.

Wheat beers don't have enough flavor for me unless it's a wheat IPA. Gotta' have some hops in there.

Sumpin' Sumpin', although it tastes more like an IPA. It's one of my favorites.

More in the style, I like Bell's Oberon and Southern Tier Hop Sun.

several good ones mentioned, but for ease of access around these parts (MN), and a good price, 80 Acre is a good drink.
