I think even more than glassware, especially for stouts, temperature is the most important part of a proper beer tasting. Other than having good beer to begin with, of course.

Thanks. I wasn't familiar with Starrs. The prices on their website seem to be in line, if not a little higher, than Lukas Liquors, which is where I normally buy. It's always good to have another place to add to my list though.

Yeah, I just drink them so slowly that maintaining the temperature becomes an issue. I tend to let the first few sips really dictate my opinion, so maybe, as the beer warms up, I should wait until the end to really dissect the flavor profile.

Had some last night and it sucks......If you live in San Luis Obispo County I will bite the bullet and buy it all. I would hate for someone else around here to drink this horrible horrible reasonable priced beer.

Just had a side by side with regular IRS and Espresso IRS at a bottle share.

I'm going with Espresso over the regular IRS for sure.

Had this on tap at The Farmhouse Tap & Grill in Burlington, VT last week. Would love to find it in bombers somewhere. Really enjoyed it

I foudn one at total wine last tuesday for $5.99. Couldn't pass that up! I wish I had known it was going to be a huge winner as I would have grabbed more. They had plenty last week.

The comic in the latest issue of Beer Advocate references this. I wasn't sure if Stone had actually brewed Anise beer. It works as a general adventurous brewers joke.

And now I am thirsty and want to open my bottle of Espresso IRS.

Bought this in VT a month or so ago, def did not get the great prices people are raving about. I do see it all the time everywhere now though. But to be honest, I didn't like this at all. I love good coffee and espresso. But this tasted like old, stale coffee.
