Very Special Cantillon - Please Help w/ More Info!

Like a Barrel Aged, Wild-Lambic-Barleywine with cocoa and vanilla.

 

What's this Cantillion everybody speaks of? Dammit! I need to try summa dat.

even though this hasn't been confirmed or anything like that, i'm willing to bet that the beer in the facebook post is this year's zwanze. it seems to fit the mold of a zwanze type project.

 

First I was going to offer to ship you a Loon. Then I noticed the screen name.

 

I had almost the same thing happen when I went. This was the last day of brewing in 2012. I was there on R & R leave from Afghanistan. I was lucky enough to visit Cantillon 5 or 6 times while in Brussels. It was about a 20 minute walk from where I was staying.

Interested in this, hope they make available in Belgium but since it is for an American festival they probably won’t.

I have had a 10 % ABV lambic from Boon, not as special as I was hoping.
It was old lambic & old Boon is nowhere near as good as young Boon lambic which can be spectacular.

 

I liked this thead a lot better when the title was all caps and the thread was five minutes old.

The sense of urgency. The excitement of some dude drinking rare Cantillon in Belgium. People answered way to fast. The thrill is gone.

 

Its called d'haute densité or something like that and is being poured at The Festival next weekend.

 

But anybody with Les Claypool as their avatar is cool in my book...

 

Les Claypool is playing a benefit at lagunitas in a few weeks, so they must be cool too!
