Twin Cities bottle share: Who is interested?

    I am trying to get more people in the Twin Cities to meet one another. Here is what I propose:
    - a bottle share, but not in the general sense of the term, here are the rules
    2 for 1, or so.......

    Each participant must bring AT LEAST 3 BEERS. One/Two to consume, one to have someone else go home with. The beers should all be ones that every one of us wants to try. Whether it be an aged vintage bottle, or one that is sought after. The two to be consumed will be brought to share. The third will be brown paper bagged. Once everyone has arrived, we will start the tasting. When we have come to a good point, we will draw cards (fantasy football style) to pick the bottle to be taken home. THE BOTTLE TO BE TAKEN HOME WILL NOT BE REVEALED, IT IS UP TO YOU TO BRING A BOTTLE THAT YOU WOULD WANT TO TAKE HOME. I will then moderate all participants to ensure that all participants have followed the guidelines and brought beers that everyone would be happy to receive.

    Round 1 will be Saturday the 20th, at 6:00 in Burnsville. The party room in my apt complex would be ideal (cost is $50 bucks) and would like this to be kept to 10 people (yes, please chip in $5 bucks a piece) for the party room wiih fridge,TV, and pool if you so desire. If you are interested, and can make it on the 20th, answer the thread and I willl take it from there. Cheers, and happy drinking.

    In for the 27th & a fine idea, old man.

    C'mon people! I see a lot of you posting frequently & have yet to meet many of the recent joiners. Let's not make this the same old group of people, would be good to put some more faces with handles. If you're on the fence, thrown your hat in.

    Likewise, the next few Saturdays are entirely booked, but this sounds like a great idea that I would love to participate in!

    When you are discussing bottles, are you talking about bombers/750's or 12oz-550's? Just in the name of fairness, I presume that it is one range or another and maybe one of these is already presumed, but I want to first make sure what you are talking about.

    22 / 750's, large format bottles. Or, several vintages of a 12 oz'er, say 08-11 or so BCBS.
