I was warned away from Abita early on, and I could just say 'sucks to be you', but that's rather harsh, and I've been exactly where you are with five I'd rather not drink...

Better luck next week, by all means! ^^

I (and my sister are two of the few people that) think Arctic Panzer Wolf is infinitely better than Dreadnaught. That beer's one of my all-time favorites.

You can never go wrong with a Rochefort, especially the 10. That is a sublime beer, especially because it's easy to find.

What a nice long brew day! It was 93 degrees outside this afternoon so we started with this:

My favorite Berliner Weiss. August Schell, I didn't know you guys had it in you, but this is an awesome Berliner Weiss. It has more of a creamy mouthfeel and substance to it than the New Glarus version.

Saison-Brett was also perfect for a hot brew day. Perfectly saison-y but with a nice Brett tartness to it. Refreshing!

More Hill Farmstead. Not as big of a favorite of mine as Susan was, but this is an APA so I really can't think of much better APAs aside from Zombie Dust. So bitter, with 80 IBU!

And the biggie of the day, Double Sunshine! This sits solidly right behind HF Ephraim and Abner on the DIPA pantheon, followed by Heady and Pliny. So damn good!

Perfect change of pace. Full of cherry sourness. A little artificial tasting and quite expensive, but this was an awesome beer.

Near the end, we finished with some Even More Jesus. Really roasty on the verge of smoky, but not smoky. Very good and a nice stout surprise.

Now finishing up with this 1.5 year old Redemption someone found in the back of his fridge. Cheers!

The final product of the night, ready to ferment!

I'm drinking a glass of homebrewed saison. It should have been a brett saison but for some reason the brett never showed up for the party.
