I hope the retooling includes making it bigger somehow - and I don't mean that to be a hypercritical wise ass. Having been there, the constraints on expanding the tasting room seem obvious. I am a huge fan of the brewery and their beer, but the tasting room is pretty tiny to start accumulating people drinking pints...

Holy crap...I'm 55 years old...did I really just say "I'm a huge fan..." Like, well, you know...oh my gawd...

I still find it amazing that they give out free tastings and people will stay for an hour or more just sampling beers.

I trust Jack's Abby to do things right, they have not failed me so far. I am a fan of this move, although I do like their generous tasting policy!

If the Night Shift guys can cram a bar into the spot they're in, JA should have no problems.

While we do not have a huge amount of space right now, we also use it pretty badly. Assuming we get our final license from the state, there is a lot we can do to improve the layout to help manage congestion. We are pretty excited by this opportunity and hope that you will be impressed by what we do with the space.

Amazing how Jack's Abby always responds directly to these New England forum threads. Love it. Thanks for the tastings, and can't wait for pints!

Please understand that wasn't a slam by any means. Having visited, I have experienced the transition from fairly empty to totally packed in no time. Staff does an amazing job keeping up and making sure everyone is happy. I am sure it will be done right! Good luck with the improvements, be back soon for Numb Swagger (hopefully still around).

Cape Cod Beer has something like that.
They got the license to pour full pints, and their son and some friends decided to run a hot dog truck outside.
