What beer are you drinking now? #347

Busy day today but that's usually a good sign for us. This beer is getting quite the following from what I can gather. Cheers!

 

New reviewed:

This is a great scotch ale! Great dark malt complexity with balanced dark fruity/earthy yeast with great robustness and mouthfeel. One of the best Big Sky offerings I've had in a while.


This is probably like 3-4 years old, but at 11% that's quite alright. Awesome beer!! Tons of vanilla and toffee from the oak aging with prominent oak/clove presence. Nice caramel/light chocolate/toast/bread/dark fruits as well. This feels a lot like a barleywine. Totally delicious.

sorry for the empty glasses, but a friend and i just shared these three beasts on his dimly lit porch where a proper photo could not be taken. it was my first aww jeah, and hot damn was it good! he brought that, and i brought the zombie and oracle. a truly fine evening partaking!

Y'all may disagree or not, but a nice Irish Red sounds mighty appettizin' right now. Sam makes a good one, but Dundee is an extraordinary example of the style. Poured into a mug. Yum fukkin yum. Loaf of Italian bread and sum roasted chicken too... Sliced perfectly, w/sum great accompyning (sic) sauce. Ooo yeah....

I'm really digging this Oktoberfest. This is probably as good as it gets in the USA!

Finisher brews:

Damn good DIPA as usual. Tons of citrus and moderate malt balance.


Awesome stuff as always. Debating whether I'm going to pay inflation prices for another 4 pack. A touch of age on this balances it out which awesome to me. Still plenty of hops but the rye/caramel have good presence.


Another damn good Odd Side bottle release. More on the way from what I've read. Keep em coming! The spice/coffee with roasted malt flavors in the beer are so balanced.

I couldn't sleep. Plus I had to try this, it reminds of of Uinta Hop Notch, big hops, big malt, really good. The folks at Tallgrass have a fan here.
