Agreed! I tried it at three temps and room temp to me is the winner.

Had a couple SNPAs with turkey dinner. Excellent. I brought them home to share with my father- and try to get him more into craft. He found it undrinkable, unfortunately. He says it was too "strong", and I assume that means it's too hoppy for his tastes. I'll get him something more malt-forward next time I think.

What did you think of Bolt Cutter?
Considered opening one tonight, but went with other options.

I was going to crack one and went with other options, but equally curious.
I had one to the dome relatively fresh. I liked it, but figure it's going to evolve into something more to my liking over next few years. Laid the other 3 down.

Now going to this post-turkey, with a small sample pour for my dad. He's not a big beer drinker, but he does have a taste for German and some Belgian beers when I bring them over.

Like I mentioned to SanFranJake earlier, I thought it was a good brew. Mostly sweet, but with enough bitterness to make it easy enough to drink. I still think it could be aged longer, but it was good to drink now too. I think now or later, it'll still be a good beer!

This stuff has a signature taste. I think I'd be able to pick it out in a blind tasting 9/10 times.

Just came home from an especially long and anxious day at work. But at least now I can have a beer, I'm thankful.

    Thanksgiving.

The daytime drinker was a growler of Toyon Amber from Cambria Brewing Company in beautiful Cambria, CA. I am frequently bored with ambers, but this one is outstanding. West Coast style.

Dinner is a growler of Firestone Walker Vessel 8 saison.

Brewmaster Matt Brynildson and team have created a small batch of outrageously drinkable light-bodied saison. Think “Duvel” meets “Dupont Saison”. The yeast is a French Saison type. The flavor sublime: Pear drop, earthy, peppery, with a soft sweet malt middle, a touch of candied sugar and Styrian Golding finish.

This was aged a year when I got it so I figured what the hell, let's see what some more age does for it.
