    So i've been lucky on this tour, for the 2 1/2 week span ive been across the country, i only had time to stop at two bottle shops. In San Diego i scored the very last bottle of Black Butte XXV and Velvet Merkin the shop had, and yesterday in Denver i landed the last bottle of Abraxas. Very lucky indeed, enjoying this amazing beer, cheers everyone!

    New Glarus Imperial Weizen (left - I put this one off for too long)

    Now - (center) Central Waters Brewer's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout (very nice! Reminds me of Schlafly's BB Stout, only with more body).

    2012 stone RIS/ kinda lost the hop smell and taste but carbonation is awesome and pairs well with sweet BBQ sauce

    Petrus Red...I was really looking forward to this it isn't bad but its not as tart as I would have liked like the oak aged and it has a little bit of a sweet medicinal finish.

    Nice beer! For me, the key to a smoked beer is that it's not totally obnoxious in its smokiness (like some German Rauchbiers I could name that taste like cigarettes). Beers like Against the Grain Bo & Luke, Boulevards's Dark Truth Stout, and this one get it right in my book.
