    One of the best DIPA's I've ever had....Society & Solitude #5 from Hill Farmstead...Tons of hops (of course) but also tons of citrus like lemon zest... such a pity we were only allowed to get a 750ml growler, I'd love to have a 2L of this guy

    I won this due to the fact I had the most penalty minutes on my hockey team for the first half of the season. Hmmm...go figure, funny thing is I didn't think I was going to have anything for the rest of the day after that last palate wrecker, but hey, this one's drinkin' pretty nice.

    We had a beer exchange at work. Mostly below average stuff from my very entry level beer drinking coworkers. I snatched up the better stuff as quickly as I could. Can't beat blowing off work for an hour to talk beer though.

    Yeah, cool, that's good, 'cause I'm hopin' my teammates don't think I'm a freakin' goon. Sigh, well, anyways, for the beer, I am noticing some wine-like qualities more so in the smell (wish I knew how old this is), but the "roasty" some-what cherry notes are coming out and that helps for me to like it for the most part. Cheers!

    This to me, has the flavor of Chocolate covered Cherries with spices added. Port like wine attributes will be detected as well. This is well done. The 10.5 ABV isn't that noticeable until the warmth hits. The cherry notes are dominate but the chocolate took me by surprise.

    Enjoyed watching the Cardinals shut those "12th men" up! What a great game, reaffirms that the NFC West is the toughest in the league.
